Future of tomorrow's knowledge worker from Slideshare

Tomorrow's Knowledge Worker presentation gives a nice overview of our evolving workforce. Some of the information is not new to me, however, I found that seeing the data presented in this way helps me think about our future as it pertains to our organization's workforce and our role in our communities.

Some of the points that I had not considered are:

  • Only 17% of the households have a husband in the workforce and the wife is not.
  • In 2007, women comprised 48% of the workforce.
  • Experts project that by 2020 (that's only 12 years from now), there will be global, low cost connectivity to almost everyone.

The presentation provides lots more information and is a quick read. Enjoy.
